Grand Brahmotsavam Celebrations of Maha Shivaratri at Srisailam
NEWSCHARIOT:-The renowned Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Srisailam, a prominent Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha, is all set to host the Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam starting from Wednesday. The temple administration has made all necessary arrangements for the grand 11-day festival. As part of the celebrations, all Arjitha Sevas (paid services) have been temporarily suspended.
- On February 23, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will offer sacred silk garments to Mallikarjuna Swamy.
- On February 25, the crucial ritual of Pagalankarana (adorning the deity with special decorations) will take place.
- Devotees and pilgrims from various states are expected to visit, and special arrangements have been made for them.
- VIP break darshans will be provided in four phases.
In a delightful announcement for devotees, AP Tourism has introduced special buses to Srisailam for Maha Shivaratri. These buses will operate from Vijayawada and Rajahmundry, facilitating a three-day pilgrimage covering:
- Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple
- Tripurantakeshwari Swamy Temple
- Bala Tripura Sundari Devi Temple
With thousands of devotees expected to gather for this divine occasion, this is a golden opportunity to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings during the auspicious festival.
