Tragic Incident in Andhra Pradesh: Baby Killed by Porcupines

NEWS CHARIOT:-A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Ravvaram village, located in Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh, where a four-month-old baby boy lost his life after being bitten by porcupines. The parents of the child, Guravayya and Durgamma, belong to the SC colony in the village and are daily wage laborers. On the fateful morning of the incident, Durgamma placed her baby in a cradle inside their home while she stepped outside to prepare breakfast. The baby, who was peacefully asleep, was left alone in the cradle during this time.
When Durgamma returned home, she was startled by strange sounds coming from the direction of the cradle. Upon checking, she discovered porcupines near the baby. As soon as the animals saw her, they fled the scene. In her panic, Durgamma quickly checked the baby and noticed severe injuries on his legs and face, which were consistent with porcupine bites. Realizing the gravity of the situation, she immediately tried to rush the baby to the hospital for treatment.
However, the baby tragically succumbed to his injuries before they could reach the hospital. This devastating loss has left the family in shock and grief.
The couple had recently moved to the area from another region to work as seasonal laborers. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the full details of the incident, and more information is expected as the investigation progresses.
