Visually Impaired Man Saves 14 Lives, Wins Praise from Bihar CM Nitish kumar

NEWS CHARIOT:-In today’s world, people with disabilities are proving their capabilities in various fields. In the past, those born with disabilities often felt helpless, believing they had limited opportunities. However, times have changed, and individuals with physical and mental disabilities are now excelling in education, employment, and the arts, proving that they are no less than anyone else.
A remarkable example of resilience and talent is Bhullu, a visually impaired man from Dumduma village in Samastipur district, Bihar. Born blind, Bhullu has an extraordinary ability—whenever he enters the water, he can see clearly.
Using this unique ability, Bhullu has saved 14 people from drowning in the Baya River and other water bodies. In addition to saving lives, he has also recovered 13 dead bodies. His heroic efforts have not only earned him immense respect from the local community but have also drawn the attention of authorities.
Acknowledging his bravery and selfless service, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar honored Bhullu during the Bihar Police Week celebrations. As a token of appreciation, Bhullu was awarded a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of ₹10,000.
Bhullu claims that while he is completely blind on land, his vision becomes clear once he enters the water. This unusual phenomenon has puzzled many, including medical experts.
According to Dr. Lal Babu Shah, an eye specialist, this could be due to the difference in refractive indices of air and water. Since light bends differently in water, it might be enabling Bullu’s eyes to process images in a way that is not possible on land.
Bhullu’s extraordinary story has amazed people across the country. His courage and determination prove that disabilities do not define a person’s potential. His remarkable ability and selfless acts of heroism make him a true inspiration for society
