China Builds Massive EV Factory Bigger Than a City

NEWS CHARIOT:-China is once again demonstrating its industrial dominance by constructing a gigantic electric vehicle (EV) factory that surpasses the size of an entire city. The new BYD factory, currently under construction on the outskirts of Zhengzhou, Henan Province, covers an enormous 32,000-acre area—making it even larger than San Francisco, USA.
A recently released drone video of the site has created a buzz on social media, showing huge production units, high-rise buildings, tennis courts, football fields, and other worker amenities. The factory’s massive scale has already transformed the area, leading many to describe it as a “new city.”
This BYD factory surpasses Tesla’s Gigafactory in Nevada, USA, in size and production capacity. The entire project is divided into eight blocks, each designed to accommodate different aspects of EV manufacturing.
BYD, a leading global EV manufacturer, currently employs over 900,000 workers worldwide. However, the company plans to hire an additional 200,000 employees within the next three months to support its expanding operations. The new Zhengzhou facility alone will have 60,000 workers on-site daily, making it one of the largest EV production hubs in the world.
With this state-of-the-art factory, BYD is set to revolutionize global EV manufacturing. The facility’s advanced infrastructure, enormous workforce, and massive production capacity will play a crucial role in the rapidly growing electric vehicle industry.
This project cements China’s leadership in EV production, further challenging Western automakers and redefining the future of sustainable mobility.
