Telangana Government Set to Release Notification for 2,000 Gazetted Posts

NEWS CHARIOT:-The Telangana government is gearing up to kickstart a massive recruitment drive with a notification expected soon for 2,000 gazetted officer posts. The process, which had been on hold due to the delay in SC classification, is now back on track following the Governor’s approval of the classification bill.

According to official sources, the state government is planning to begin with the recruitment of gazetted posts and will follow it up with a DSC (District Selection Committee) notification for nearly 5,000 teacher posts. This marks the beginning of a new phase in job recruitment in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Last year, the government released a job calendar outlining the departments, number of posts to be filled, expected notification dates, and examination schedules. However, the recruitment process came to a halt due to legal and procedural requirements related to the categorization of Scheduled Castes.

The government had opted to delay issuing new notifications until the Supreme Court approved the SC classification process. To streamline the procedure, a judicial commission was established, and based on its recommendations, the classification framework was finalized. This was then passed in the state assembly and sent to the Governor for assent.

With the Governor expected to sign off on the bill within the next few days, the state government has already started preparations for recruitment. Departments have been directed to identify the number of vacancies available, and a green signal has been given to begin the hiring process.

Once the revised roster points are set according to the new classification guidelines, the notification for 2,000 gazetted officer posts will be released. This is expected to bring relief to thousands of job aspirants in the state eagerly waiting for government employment opportunities.

The move also reflects the government’s commitment to delivering on its promise of transparent and timely recruitment, ensuring fair representation across all communities.
