Divine Warning for ‘Kantara’ Star Rishab Shetty Sparks Concern Among Fans

NEWS CHARIOT:-Rishab Shetty, the acclaimed actor-director who gained nationwide fame with the blockbuster film Kantara, has reportedly received a divine warning during a temple visit, sparking concern among his fans and well-wishers.

Rishab, who rose to prominence with Kantara — a film rooted deeply in Karnataka’s spiritual and cultural traditions — is currently busy working on its sequel, Kantara 2. The original film, made with a modest budget of ₹18 crore, unexpectedly grossed over ₹400 crores and became a cultural phenomenon.

Recently, the actor visited the Panjurli Daiva temple in Kadri Baribail near Mangalore with his family. The visit coincided with an annual ritual event that runs from 11 a.m. until 4 a.m. the next morning, where priests, believed to be possessed by local deities, convey messages to devotees.

During this event, a priest claimed to be possessed by the deity Varahi Panjurli and issued a strong warning to Rishab. According to eyewitnesses, the priest said, “You are surrounded by enemies. A massive conspiracy is underway without your knowledge. But the god you believe in will protect you.” The message left many devotees and Rishab’s fans shocked and concerned.

In Karnataka, many rural communities deeply believe in such divine messages, and this has heightened the emotional response to the warning. Social media has since been flooded with messages urging Rishab to be cautious and stay safe.

While Rishab is yet to make any public comment on the incident, sources close to the production reveal that the Kantara 2 team is proceeding with extra care. The sequel is reportedly being produced with a whopping ₹200 crore budget and is among the most anticipated films of the year.

Chapter 1 of Kantara, a prequel to the original, is slated for release on October 2. Whether the divine warning will impact the film’s journey remains to be seen.
