ACB trapped three officials of panchayat raj red-handed

(Newschariot, WARANGAL, OCT.25 ): Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped three officials of the Panchayat Raj department while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000 from a contractor for doing official favour here in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Thursday.

According to the ACB sources, the executive engineer Dilip Kumar, assistant technical officer Chandrashekar and senior assistant Shoba Rani of the panchayat raj department demanded Rs.20,000 bribe for sanctioning bills of Rs.4 lakhs to a contractor Sadanandam who was the native of Tadicherla village of Malhar mandal.

The contractor requested the officials to sanction bills as he completed the works genuinely without indulging in any irregularities, but the officials demanded him to pay the bribe.

Meanwhile, the contractor approached ACB officials and lodged a complaint against them.

As per the instructions given by the ACB officials, when the contractor was handing over Rs.20,000 to three officials, the officials conducted raids and caught them red handed while accepting the bribe.
