Organized under the aegis of the Telangana government and the Miss World committee, the event has become a focal point of concern due to the growing security situation.

Beauties from 116 countries are expected to participate, with 109 contestants already in Hyderabad. Rehearsals for the grand opening at Gachibowli Stadium are underway, and contestants are staying at the Trident Hotel, where tight security has been deployed. However, the intensifying Indo-Pak conflict has put pressure on organizers and the Telangana Tourism Department.

Flight disruptions due to regional conflict—over 200 cancellations, airport closures, and altered air routes—are now threatening the arrival of remaining contestants, international media, and sponsors. This situation has cast a shadow over the pageant, with organizers closely monitoring developments.

Adding to the uncertainty, the BCCI has postponed the IPL 2025 matches amid the national security concerns. This has led to speculation on whether the Miss World event will also face rescheduling. Security concerns are heightened for the outdoor cultural tour planned for contestants from the 12th of this month, which includes visits to prominent Telangana sites such as Charminar, Ramappa Temple, and Pochampally.
