Teachers Must Enhance Teaching Skills: Minister Konda Surekha

NEWS CHARIOT:-Minister of State for Forest, Environment, and Endowments, Konda Surekha, urged teachers to make the most of training camps to improve their teaching methods and provide quality education to students. She made these remarks while attending a five-day teacher training program at Birla Open Mind International School in Warangal, alongside District Collector Dr. Sathya Sharada.

Minister Surekha emphasized that education is the greatest gift one can offer, and teachers, who are highly respected in society, have a significant influence on shaping students’ lives. She stressed that teachers must teach in a way that fosters students’ interests and abilities, tailored to their individual levels. She further stated that the skills gained from the training should be applied in the classroom to help shape well-rounded students. In addition to academic learning, she called for the development of students’ skills in sports, with an aim to prepare them for state, national, and international competitions.

The Minister highlighted the government’s strong commitment to improving the education system and providing students with high-quality education along with necessary facilities. She mentioned the increase in diet and cosmetic charges in student hostels as part of this effort. She also stated that the government is establishing Young India Residential Schools in every constituency, including Urs Karimabad, to ensure students from all communities have access to quality education. Furthermore, a Skill University is being set up in Hyderabad to equip youth with essential skills.

District Collector Dr. Sathya Sharada addressed the teachers, stressing the importance of using new teaching methods to meet students’ needs. She encouraged teachers to work with dedication, which would lead to the holistic development of students. Dr. Sharada also advised teachers to assess students’ progress and work towards enhancing their skills.

The event was attended by District Education Officer Jnaneshwar, District Academic Monitoring Officer Sujan Teja, Assistant Coordinator Nageshwar Rao, Center In-charge Venkateshwar Rao, and several teachers.
