Saraswati Pushkaralu Begin with Grandeur in Kaleshwaram

NEWS CHARIOT:-The much-awaited Saraswati Pushkaralu commenced on Thursday in Kaleshwaram with elaborate religious rituals and extensive arrangements made by the Telangana State Government. Held once every 12 years, the Pushkaralu attract thousands of devotees who take holy dips in the river, seeking blessings and spiritual purification.
The auspicious event began at 5:44 AM, with Sri Sri Sri Madhavananda Saraswati Swamiji, head of Toguta Ashram, performing the first Pushkar Snanam (ritual bath). Later in the evening, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to take a ceremonial dip at the Pushkar Ghat.
To mark the occasion, a monolithic idol of Goddess Saraswati has been installed and will be officially unveiled today. A unique cinema-style temple set was created around the idol, designed to attract pilgrims and enhance the spiritual ambiance. Spread across one acre, the set adds a visually impressive backdrop to the sacred site.
To accommodate the influx of devotees, the government has provided comprehensive amenities. A 100-room guest house and dormitory facilities have been made available near the temple. Additionally, a tent city comprising 100 rooms equipped with air conditioning and coolers has been established near the Saraswati Ghat, offered on a rental basis.
The temple authorities have also set up showers, changing rooms, shaded shelters, and overhead water tanks to ensure clean drinking water is accessible. Infrastructure improvements include concrete roads, permanent toilet blocks, bathing rooms, and a Pinda Pradhan Mandapam for performing ancestral rituals.
In terms of spiritual offerings, the Sri Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy Temple is providing laddus and pulihora (tamarind rice) as prasadam. Devotees can also benefit from free meals and prasadam distribution, organized as part of the Pushkaralu services.
Authorities have stated that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the safety, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment of pilgrims attending this grand event.
