Payal Kapadia’s Film Earns Critics Choice 2025 Nomination

NEWS CHARIOT (Hyderabad, Dec.13) : The Critics Choice Awards 2025 nominations have been announced, and Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light has secured a spot on the prestigious list. The film, already a two-time Golden Globe nominee, is a strong contender in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
The film, which stars Kani Kasruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hridhu Haroon in key roles, has been nominated for Best Foreign Language Film alongside films like Emilia Pérez, Flow, I’m Still Here, Kneecap and The Seed of the Sacred Fig. Interestingly, in the Golden Globes Best Non-English Language Motion Picture category too, the film is contending with Emilia Pérez, I’m Still Here, and The Seed of the Sacred Fig.
All We Imagine As Light has been sweeping major international awards. The film created history by becoming the first Indian film to win the prestigious Grand Prix at Cannes 2024. It has also received the Jury Grand Prize at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Best Internationa Feature at Goutham Awards and Best International Film Award at the New York Film Critics Circle, among several others.
In the light of the nominations that it has been receiving, the Payal Kapadia film has been brought back to cinemas in cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bhubaneshwar. The Critics Choice Awards will be streaming live in India exclusively on Lionsgate Play on January 13.
