Thief Steals Bolero, Takes Nap—Police Catch Him in Dreamland!

NEWS CHARIOT (Andhra Pradesh, Dec.15) : A thief, in a daring display of automotive ambition, stole a Bolero vehicle and decided to take a nap inside it at a different location. Clearly, the hustle was too much—he was caught red-handed by the police while snoozing in his stolen “dream car.” Perhaps he thought a little shut-eye would help him evade justice, but unfortunately, the only thing he managed to escape was the concept of a good night’s sleep. Authorities are now wondering if the Bolero came with an “extended warranty” on both theft and naps!

According the local police, a farmer named Chinna Subbareddy from Konduru village in Pendlimarri mandal brought the paddy he harvested from his fields to Vempalle and spread it on the road along the Gandi-Pulivendula outer ring road for drying.

Due to the severe cold at night, the farmer parked his Bolero vehicle by the roadside and went to sleep. Around 12:30 AM, the farmer went into the nearby rice mill. Taking advantage of the situation, Rafi from Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, stole the vehicle.

He drove the vehicle three kilometers away and parked it near a bag factory on Kadapa Road. He removed the vehicle’s number plates and fell asleep inside it. When the farmer noticed that the Bolero had gone missing, he lodged the complaint with the local police station.

Following this, the farmer’s family members and the police searched the roads around the town for any trace of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the Bolero was spotted by the police near the trees close to the bag factory. Upon receiving the information, the farmer and the police went to the location and discovered that the thief was asleep in the vehicle. The police immediately took both the thief and the vehicle to the station. An investigation is currently underway.
