Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka Slams BRS Government, Promises Support for Farmers

NEWS CHARIOT (WARANGAL,JAN.6) : Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka criticized the previous BRS government for failing to fulfill its promises, accusing them of deceiving the people of Telangana during their ten years of rule. Speaking at a public meeting after laying the foundation stones for the construction of three new 33/11 KV power sub-stations in Viswanathapuram village of Geesukonda mandal, Warangal, Vikramarka claimed that K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), the BRS party chief, transformed Telangana from a surplus state into a debt-ridden one.

Farm Loan Waiver Allegations

Vikramarka lashed out at BRS leaders, accusing them of breaking their promise to waive off at least Rs. 1 lakh of farm loans, and now recklessly making statements without understanding the realities. Despite Telangana being under a debt of Rs. 7 lakh crore during KCR’s tenure, Vikramarka reassured the public that the Congress government would begin providing Rs. 12,000 to farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme starting from January 26, 2025, the Republic Day.

Focus on Landless Farmers

Despite the state’s financial challenges, the Congress government is focused on supporting the landless farmers, an initiative that has not been considered by the BRS. Vikramarka also criticized KTR, the BRS working president, for his demand to include real estate ventures under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, stating that the government will not allow such ventures to benefit from welfare schemes meant for actual agricultural land.

BJP Criticism and Future Plans for Farmers

Vikramarka further attacked the BJP, advising its leaders to limit their criticism to avoid further backlash from the public. He also compared the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, which comes with strict conditions, with the more straightforward Congress-backed welfare for farmers, emphasizing that no application process is needed for eligible farmers under the Congress schemes.

Promises to the People

Highlighting the achievements of the Congress government in its first year, Vikramarka proudly announced the successful conduct of the Group-1 exams and the filling of 56,000 job vacancies. He also assured that Indiramma Houses (3,500 per constituency), ration card distributions, and the construction of Young India International Schools with an investment of Rs. 500 crore are on the way.

He called upon Congress leaders and workers to actively engage with the people, visit villages, and explain the various welfare schemes being implemented by the government.
