Congress Government is Committed to Welfare of underprivileged : Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy

NEWS CHARIOT : The Congress government is focused on bringing transformative changes to the state, ensuring that every eligible individual, without exception, benefits from the welfare schemes introduced with utmost prestige, said Uttam Kumar Reddy, the Minister for Irrigation, Municipal Administration, and in-charge Minister for Karimnagar District, during his participation in the Grama Sabha held at Renikunta village in Thimmapur mandal on Wednesday. He was joined by the Minister for Backward Class Welfare, Ponnam Prabhakar.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy assured that newly married individuals will be issued separate new ration cards, and any necessary changes or additions to family members will be processed promptly. He emphasized that all applications submitted through Mee Seva, Prajavani, and surveys will be thoroughly reviewed, ensuring that eligible individuals receive their ration cards. People can also directly submit applications at the Grama Sabhas if their names are missing from the previously announced lists.
Regarding the Indiramma Housing Scheme, Minister Reddy informed the public that the government has launched the initiative for the construction of Indiramma houses. Those whose names are not found in the approval list for houses can resubmit their applications. For those with their own land, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh to build homes. Additionally, Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) will receive an extra Rs. 1 lakh as assistance.
In support of the farming community, the Rythu Bharosa scheme will offer Rs. 12,000 per acre annually to all eligible farmers, providing financial support for agricultural activities. This scheme applies to all farmers, whether or not they engage in crop cultivation, as long as they are involved in agriculture.
Under the Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa scheme, the government will provide Rs. 12,000 annually to landless agricultural laborer families. Minister Reddy highlighted that no other government in the country has simultaneously implemented such a wide range of welfare schemes, marking this as a historic milestone in the state’s agricultural support efforts.
The event was also attended by prominent figures such as MLAs Medipally Satyam, Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, SUDA Chairman Komatireddy Narendar Reddy, District Collector Pamela Satpathy, Additional Collector Lakshmi Kiran, Prapul Desai, Trainee Collector Ajay Yada, and RDO Maheshwar, among others.
