NEWSCHARIOT (Jagtial, Oct.27) : A 24-years-old youth married a transwoman of 23–years-old on a grand note after two years of love as per Hindu tradition with consent of his family members here at a function hall in Laxmipur village of Gollapally mandal in Jagtial district.
According to the sources, the youth who was identified as Mathi Srinivas married the transwoman identified as Anjali, who was the native of Myadampally village of Maliala mandal.
Srinivas and Anjali were relatives and belonged to the same community. Their friendship turned into love and blossomed from the past two years.
Meanwhile, Srinivas went to Saudi in search of employment and returned a few months back, but continued to love Anjali. After convincing his parents and relatives of Anjali, he married Anjali in the presence of his family members and some of the members of the transgender community.
The members of the transgender association said that people should recognize them as human beings and must encourage such kinds of marriages so that they can live a respectable life in society.
By considering this marriage as a model marriage, the state government must sanction Kalyana Lakshmi cheque to the couple, they urged.
