Sri Bhadrakali Bhadreswara Brahmotsavam Concludes with Sacred Rituals and Devotee Fervor

NEWS CHARIOT:-The Sri Kalyana Brahmotsavam of Sri Bhadrakali Bhadreswara, held at the historic Sri Bhadrakali Devasthanam, concluded on a divine note with several sacred rituals, including Chakratirthotsavam (Chakrasnanam), Dhwaja Avarohanam, Ghatabhishekam, and Pushpayagam. The eleven-day spiritual festival drew thousands of devotees who participated in traditional ceremonies and offerings.

Day eleven began at 4:00 AM with daily rituals followed by Snapanavidhi pujas and the colorful Churnotsavam. The Churnotsavam, performed by Suvasinis (married women), involved grinding turmeric and aromatic herbs to prepare sacred Churna, later used in Chakrasnanam and as a divine offering to the Goddess. The Chakrasnanam ritual was led by Chief Priest Sri Chepela Venkatanagaraja Sharma, who performed the sacred bath of the divine Chakra, delighting devotees with its spiritual grandeur.

To conclude the Brahmotsavam formally and to seek forgiveness for any inadvertent errors during the rituals, a Shataghatabhishekam (sacred abhishekam with 100 pots) was performed, followed by the Pushpayagam. The evening flower offering, accompanied by Dasharchanaradhana performed ten times, provided devotees with a deeply spiritual and unforgettable experience.

The day’s events were co-sponsored by Sri Lakshmi Devi Associates, Hyderabad. A special visit was also made by a delegation from the National Sanskrit University, Tirupati, led by Prof. Vedantham Vishnu Bhattacharya, Prof. Ramesh Babu, and Dr. Kalyana Shastri. The delegation inspected the Vedapatashala and recommended the Sri Bhadrakali Sangaveda Agama Sanskrit Vidyalaya for official affiliation.

Temple Executive Officer and Assistant Commissioner Mrs. Seshubharathi expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, donors, devotees, caste organizations, and media personnel for their support in making the Brahmotsavam a grand success.
