Ayodhya Prepares for Another Grand Religious Ceremony: New Idol Installations Scheduled for May

NEWS CHARIOT:-After the historic consecration of Bal Ram’s idol on January 22, 2024, the holy city of Ayodhya is gearing up for another major religious event this May. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced that further idol installations will take place in the Ram Temple as part of the next phase of development.

According to temple authorities, several new idols of deities and revered personalities will be consecrated within the temple complex during the May event. The Trust is expected to release detailed plans shortly. With this ceremony, another crucial milestone in the temple’s ongoing construction will be marked.

The Ram Temple, a three-storey architectural marvel, is currently under rapid construction. The ground floor has been completed, and work on the upper floors and temple spire is progressing steadily. The full construction is estimated to be completed by the end of 2025.

In addition to the main temple, the Trust has confirmed that 18 new shrines are being built within the complex. These will be dedicated to divine figures such as Dashavatar, Sheshavatar, Nishad Raj, Shabari, Ahalya, and saint-poet Tulsidas. The May event is expected to draw lakhs of devotees from across India.

Following the Bal Ram consecration earlier this year, the temple has witnessed an average daily footfall of nearly 100,000 pilgrims. The January ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, and approximately 7,000 dignitaries.

Sources indicate that Prime Minister Modi may also attend the upcoming May celebration. In anticipation of the large crowds, the Uttar Pradesh government is making elaborate arrangements, including enhanced security, improved transportation facilities, and the setup of temporary tent cities to accommodate visiting devotees.

The forthcoming event is poised to bring Ayodhya into national focus once again, continuing its transformation into a spiritual and cultural hub.
