NEWS CHARIOT:-With rising temperatures, Telangana Tourism has made special arrangements to offer exciting boating experiences across the state. From historic lakes to serene reservoirs, these destinations provide a refreshing escape for summer travelers.
Hussain Sagar, one of Hyderabad’s largest lakes, is a top attraction for boating enthusiasts. Located in the city center, this lake features a variety of boats, including speed boats, parasail boats, and mechanized boats that can carry up to 55 people. The tourism department operates 23 boats daily, drawing thousands of visitors. The grand Buddha statue in the middle of the lake adds to the scenic beauty, making the experience even more special.
Laknavaram Lake is famous for its hanging bridge, Situated 210 km from Hyderabad and 70 km from Warangal .The tourism department has set up wooden cottages and boating services, making it a preferred weekend getaway for nature lovers.
Durgam Cheruvu Known as the “Secret Lake”, is surrounded by rocky hills, offering a peaceful retreat near HITECH City. Tourists can choose from mechanized boats, water scooters, and pearl boats. For adventure seekers, the tourism department also provides trekking and rappelling activities.
A 200-year-old lake located beside Nehru Zoological Park, Mir Alam Tank is a popular tourist spot. After visiting the zoo, tourists can enjoy a boat ride here. Telangana Tourism operates boating services from 10 AM to 6 PM, making it a convenient recreational option.
Nizam Sagar, built on the Manjeera River, offers a tranquil boating experience, especially during the monsoon. Nagarjuna Sagar provides a grand adventure, with boat rides to Nagarjuna Konda, an island featuring ancient Buddhist sites.
With Telangana Tourism expanding its boating facilities, visitors can look forward to a cool and thrilling summer on the water.
