Big Twist in Bidar Afzalganj Shootout Case: Inter-State Police Hunt Intensifies
NEWS CHARIOT : In a major turn of events, the Bidar Afzalganj shootout case has taken a new twist, sending shockwaves across the region. Recently, two armed assailants opened fire at the SBI ATM center in Bidar, Karnataka, before fleeing with a staggering ₹93 lakh. This daring daylight robbery created quite a stir. Shortly after, the suspects were spotted in Hyderabad’s Afzalganj area. In a bid to apprehend them, the police engaged in a shootout, but the suspects managed to escape towards Raipur.
Despite extensive efforts, the police have been unable to track down the assailants so far. Authorities from both Karnataka and Telangana have now intensified the investigation, treating the case as a high priority. There was initial speculation that the gang might be linked to the notorious Amit or Manish gangs, but further investigation has ruled out these possibilities.
The case has now become a significant challenge for law enforcement agencies across four states, including Telangana, Karnataka, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh. According to police reports, the criminals went to great lengths to avoid detection. They used fake documents and provided false information in an attempt to mislead authorities. Initially, the police thought they might be part of the Manish gang based on intelligence reports from Bihar. However, after reviewing CCTV footage from Bidar and showing images to Manish’s family and villagers, it was confirmed that the suspects were not linked to that gang.
Adding to the complexity, the criminals were meticulous in avoiding electronic footprints. They refrained from using mobile phones throughout the operation and paid in cash for all transactions, including hotel bills, travel tickets, and food. This careful planning has made the investigation even more challenging for the police.
Currently, the police from Telangana, Karnataka, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh are continuing their search operations. The focus is on areas like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Raipur. Additionally, CCTV footage from all over Hyderabad, including Bidar, is being closely analyzed in the hope of identifying the culprits.
