Burglars loot SBI bank, Rs.10 crores worth gold ornaments stolen

NEWS CHARIOT (Warangal, Nov.21) : In a shocking incident that took place, the burglars broke out the State Bank of India (SBI) and looted around Rs.10 crores worth gold ornaments from lockers of the bank here in the mandal headquarters of the Raiparthy in Warangal district.

According to the police, the burglars after disconnecting the power supply cut open the windows with gas cutters and entered into the bank and looted around Rs.10 crores worth gold ornaments stored in the lockers.

On Tuesday morning when the staff reached the bank, they noticed a burglary in the bank and immediately informed the higher officials who in turn informed the police.

The police said that the bank officials are estimating how much amount and gold ornaments were stolen from the bank and the lockers. After collecting the information from the customers, the officials can accurately come to the conclusion how much money and gold ornaments were looted from the bank, but on the complaint lodged by the bank officials a case was registered and started an investigation by deploying special teams, they added.
