CCS police nabbed house burglar, seized 28.5 lakhs ornaments

NEWSCHARIOT (Hanamkonda, Oct.29) : The police officials of the CCS (Central Crime Station) along with the Kakatiya University police station nabbed a burglar who indulged in various theft cases and seized 334 grams gold and 640 grams silver worth Rs.28.5 lakhs, a two wheeler and Rs.13,000 cash from his possession here in Hanamkonda on Tuesday.
Disclosing the facts to the media, the police commissioner Ambar Kishor Jha said that the accused who was identified as Kondapally Dharmaraju (30) was the resident of Postal colony in Hanamkonda.
After running a biryani centre in the mandal headquarters at Raiparthy. Facing a huge loss and unable to clear the debts, he started playing online betting and was further driven into debts. Then he decided to rob the houses. By conducting a recce during the day time, he used to select the houses which are locked and at night time he used to break the houses. Dharmaraju indulged in around 17 theft cases under Warangal police commissionerate limits.
Receiving several complaints, the Central Zone DCP Shaik Saleema deployed a special team to nab him. Using advanced modern technology the police officials who identified Dharmaraju as a burglar kept a strict vigil on him.
When he was coming on his motorbike to sell the ornaments which he had stolen, the police officials took him into their custody at the university cross road and seized the ornaments from his possession.
