Chit Fund Fraud: CCS Police Interrogate Pullaiah at His Home

NEWS CHARIOT:-In a major development in the ₹100 crore chit fund scam, CCS police brought accused businessman Pullaiah to his residence near Dasaram Huts on Wednesday evening for interrogation. Pullaiah, a resident of Ravindranagar, is accused of defrauding hundreds of investors by running fraudulent chit fund schemes and fleeing with their money.

As news of his presence spread, a large crowd of victims gathered outside his residence, demanding justice and the return of their hard-earned money. The situation quickly escalated as angry investors raised slogans against him.

Following multiple complaints, CCS police arrested Pullaiah in Bengaluru last month and placed him in judicial remand. On Wednesday, officers took him into custody for further questioning, escorting him under heavy security arrangements by SR Nagar police.

Under the leadership of CCS ACP Mallikarjun Chowdhury, police questioned Pullaiah for nearly 90 minutes, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Officials probed him about the scale of the chit fund operations, the number of victims, outstanding dues, and details of his other businesses and assets.

During the interrogation, the police seized a Fortune car from his house, believed to have been purchased using investors’ money. As officers attempted to transfer Pullaiah back to Nampally CCS Station, victims intensified their protests, urging authorities to take strict action.

The protest outside Pullaiah’s house turned chaotic as victims tried to confront him directly. Police had to intervene to disperse the crowd and safely transport him to the station. Officials assured the victims that a thorough investigation was underway and necessary legal action would be taken.

This high-profile chit fund scam has left hundreds of investors in distress. Authorities are now working to trace the missing funds and hold Pullaiah accountable for his fraudulent activities.
