Controversy Surrounds Sadvi Harsh Rishcharya’s Entry into Maha Kumbh Mela

NEWS CHARIOT : The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj has begun, drawing millions of devotees who have come to take a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam and seek blessings from Lord Shiva. It is estimated that around 40 to 50 crore people will attend this grand event.

However, a significant controversy has arisen surrounding the presence of Sadhvi Harsh Rishcharya, who has been making headlines since the beginning of the Maha Kumbh. Social media users have praised her as one of the most beautiful Sadhvis, with many curious about how such a stunning woman became a Sadhvi. Following the viral video of the 30-year-old, there has been immense interest in her life, with media channels lining up for interviews.

During one such interview, she shared her reasons for adopting the spiritual path, stating that she is following the path of religion. When Harsh made her entry into the Kumbh, she was seen sitting on a chariot of the Niranjani Akhara, wearing traditional saffron attire, which sparked considerable controversy. Some other Sadhus raised objections, questioning her sitting on the chariot in such attire.

The situation escalated, and Harsh Rishcharya tearfully announced on social media that she would be stepping away from the Maha Kumbh. In a heartfelt video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she expressed her emotions, crying and stating, “I came here to learn about the religion, to understand Sanatan culture, but they did not allow me to stay in the Maha Kumbh. You should feel ashamed. This sacred Kumbh, which comes once in a lifetime, and I am being sent away from it. I came as an individual, and now it’s being taken away from me.” She expressed her anguish about being denied the opportunity to connect with the culture and questioned what her mistake was.

Who is Harsh Rishcharya?

Harsh Rishcharya, 30, is originally from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and currently resides in Uttarakhand. According to her Instagram profile, she is an anchor, makeup artist, social activist, social media influencer, and travel blogger. However, she has now left all these professions behind and chosen to become a Sadhvi, dedicating herself to spiritual life.

The controversy has only intensified the public’s curiosity, and her decision to leave the Kumbh has sparked widespread debates on social media.
