Cradle ceremony of Shih Tzu puppies held on a grand note
NEWS CHARIOT (Jagtial, Dec.9) : In a bizarre incident, a family celebrated the 21st day (Cradle ceremony) celebrations of four new puppies born to a Shih Tzu breed, a pet dog or toy dog which is known to be most affectionate with children here at Subash Nagar in Metpally town of Jagtial district on Sunday.
The couple who was identified as Rapelli Vinod and Lavanya were domesticating the Shih Tzu breed female dog from the past one and a half year onwards. They named it ‘Daisy’ and all their family members used to look after it with love and affection. The dog also mingled like one of the family members with them and to their neighbours.
The family members were very happy when Daisy delivered four puppies recently. They decided to conduct a function to the newborn puppies like how the people will be conducting Barasala, naming ceremony to the new born babies.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle Rapelli Vinod said that their son brought Daisy from Hyderabad one and a half years back. From then onwards they are looking after it like their family member and protecting it from the street dogs.
When it delivered puppies which were healthy in condition, his wife Lavanya decided to celebrate the naming ceremony for the four puppies.
She invited her friends and neighbours, decorated the cradle and brought new dresses to the four puppies and celebrated the naming ceremony by putting them in the cradle along with singing songs.
Of the four puppies one is male and the other three are females. “We decided to give puppies to others after 45 days. Since they will give name to the puppies we decided not to name the puppies, but until then my wife said that she will name the puppies in the name of gods and named the male puppy as Narasimha Swamy and to all three female puppies as Lakhmi-1, 2 and 3,” he said expressing happiness.
Rajeshwar, the ward councilor speaking to Deccan Chronicle said that the family members also prepared a variety of dishes on the occasion and served to the invitees celebrating the occasion on a grand note.
The people who attended the function blessed the puppies and felt happy to be a part of the rare celebrations celebrated by the couple Vinod and Lavanya. They also appreciated the couple for treating the animal with great care like that of their own children, he added.
