After watching his daughter battle with substance abuse for seven years, the father decided to collaborate with the authorities to bring her back to a healthier path.

The young woman, once an aspiring student who had gone to Spain for higher education, found herself addicted to cocaine. Despite completing her studies and returning to India, her addiction persisted. Over time, she connected with a drug supplier in Mumbai, and through WhatsApp, she began facilitating the delivery of drugs to her home. She would send location details and vehicle photos to receive cocaine, which she used regularly. The authorities later discovered that over the years, she had spent nearly a crore rupees on drugs.

Her father, devastated by seeing his daughter’s self-destructive behavior, reached out to TG NABB officials with vital information. His decision to act as an informant led to the woman’s eventual arrest, enabling authorities to catch her red-handed. During her interrogation, she shockingly questioned the police, asking, “Is this a crime? Many others are doing it.” She also confessed to using cocaine for hours on end and admitted to being involved in a large-scale drug transaction network.

With the father’s intervention, the young woman was sent to a rehabilitation center, where efforts are underway to help her break free from her addiction through counseling.
