Four Days of Rain in Telangana – IMD Issues Orange Alert

NEWS CHARIOT:-Telangana is set to experience four days of rain starting Wednesday, bringing temporary relief from the summer heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert for hailstorms, thunderstorms, and strong winds in several districts.
According to IMD, a surface circulation over Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, along with another system extending over Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, is causing this weather change. The department has warned of winds reaching speeds of 50 km/h and heavy rainfall in some regions.
IMD has issued an Orange Alert for seven districts on Wednesday, including Adilabad, Kumram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Medak, and Kamareddy. On Thursday, the alert extends to 14 districts, covering Adilabad, Kumram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal.
For Friday and Saturday, strong winds up to 50 km/h are expected, prompting IMD to issue a Yellow Alert across all districts. Hyderabad will see moderate rainfall with 40 km/h winds.
On Tuesday, temperatures in Telangana crossed 40°C in all districts, with 12 districts recording over 41°C. The highest temperature of 41.5°C was recorded in Adilabad and Komaram Bheem Asifabad. However, compared to last year’s 43°C, this year’s temperatures have been slightly lower.
With upcoming rainfall and strong winds, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next few days.
