Haryana Steelers Clinch Maiden Pro Kabaddi League Title

NEWS CHARIOT ( Delhi, Dec.30) : The Haryana Steelers emerged victorious in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 final on Sunday, defeating the Patna Pirates with a commanding scoreline of 32-23. This marked the Steelers’ first-ever PKL title win, an achievement celebrated with a cash prize of ₹3 crore, while the Pirates, as runners-up, secured ₹1.8 crore.

The Steelers took early control of the match, with standout performances from Shivam Patare, who scored 9 points, Mohammadreza Shadloui with 7 points, and Vinay contributing 6. Their defensive wall, anchored by Jaideep and Rahul Sethpal, proved impenetrable, stifling the Pirates’ scoring opportunities.

Despite a slow start, the Pirates rallied in the first half, with Gurdeep and Sudhakar narrowing the gap. Devank and Ayan equalized the scores briefly before Patare and Vinay regained momentum for the Steelers. By halftime, the Steelers held a slim 15-12 lead.

The second half began cautiously, with the Pirates scoring first through Sudhakar. However, key contributions from Shadloui and Jaideep helped the Steelers widen the gap. A pivotal moment came with the first “All Out” of the game, giving Haryana a decisive 9-point advantage.

As the match progressed, the Steelers demonstrated tactical mastery, maintaining control and managing the clock effectively to thwart any Pirates’ comeback attempts. The final whistle sealed a historic victory, crowning the Haryana Steelers as champions for the first time in the league’s history.

This triumph highlights the Steelers’ stellar teamwork, resilience, and strategic brilliance, marking a memorable chapter in Pro Kabaddi League history.
