IRB Infra Announces Toll Hike on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road

NEWS CHARIOT:-IRB Infra has officially announced a hike in toll charges on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad, effective from tomorrow, April 1. The toll rates have been revised for the year 2025-26, with increases applied across six categories of vehicles.

The company revealed that tolls for light vehicles, such as cars, jeeps, and vans, will see an increase of Rs. 0.10 per kilometer. Meanwhile, minibuses and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) will face a hike of Rs. 0.20 per kilometer. As a result, the toll charges for light vehicles will rise from Rs. 2.34 to Rs. 2.44 per kilometer, while minibuses and LCVs will now be charged Rs. 3.77 to Rs. 3.94 per kilometer.

In addition, the toll rates for two-axle buses will be increased from Rs. 6.69 to Rs. 7 per kilometer. Heavy vehicles will see a rise from Rs. 15.09 to Rs. 15.78 per kilometer. The revised toll charges aim to manage and maintain the road infrastructure, especially considering the heavy traffic load on the ORR.

IRB Infra, which has been operating the ORR under a 30-year lease agreement, stated that the revised charges will contribute to the effective management and upkeep of the corridor. Vehicle owners and commuters can access detailed information on the new toll rates and monthly or daily passes through the official HUDA website.

The Outer Ring Road, managed by Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), plays a crucial role in connecting various parts of the city and easing traffic congestion, and the new toll revisions are expected to help sustain its operations for the future.
