NEWS CHARIOT:-A fresh wave of Telugu entertainment has hit OTT platforms this weekend, with over 30 films and web series becoming available for streaming. Among the notable releases are Odela 2, Good Bad Ugly, and Jack. Adding to this lineup, Kalyan Ram’s latest movie, Arjun: Son of Vyjayanthi, has quietly made its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video.

The film stars Kalyan Ram and veteran actress Vijayashanti in key roles and is centered around a strong mother-son emotional narrative. Directed with a sentimental backdrop, the movie was initially released in theaters on April 18. Despite a decent promotional campaign before its release, the film received a lukewarm response at the box office and collected modest earnings.

Interestingly, Arjun: Son of Vyjayanthi is now available for streaming just three weeks after its theatrical release. Currently, the Telugu version of the film is accessible on Amazon Prime in India. However, viewers in the UK can only watch it through Amazon’s rental service. There is speculation that the film may become widely available for Indian audiences without rental restrictions by the coming Thursday or Friday.

The story revolves around Vyjayanthi (played by Vijayashanti), a dedicated and upright police officer. Her son, Arjun (played by Kalyan Ram), is on the verge of becoming an IPS officer. He harbors a deep grudge against a criminal who murdered his father. This thirst for revenge does not sit well with his mother. In an unforeseen turn of events, Arjun kills the murderer in public, which creates a rift between him and Vyjayanthi. The film explores whether this mother-son duo is able to mend their strained relationship.
