KTR Slams Congress, Declares BRS Will Contest Aggressively in Telangana Local Elections

Reflecting on the historical context, KTR said people had been misled for over 50 years in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh and stressed the need for political awareness and vigilance in the current climate. He launched a scathing attack on the ruling Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of failing to deliver on its promises, particularly those made to farmers. He criticized the administration for its mishandling of grain procurement and the lack of support for the initial crop cycle under the Rythu Bandhu scheme.
KTR also highlighted the disappearance of key welfare promises such as the KCR Kit, the Tulam gold scheme, and the promise of free bus travel for women. He questioned the efficacy of Congress ministers, especially in Khammam district, stating that despite having three ministers, the government had failed to implement any meaningful development initiatives.
Taking aim at Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, KTR pointed out that guarantees made by him on bond paper during the Madhira campaign have yet to be fulfilled. He challenged the government to explain the fate of these promises.
KTR further intensified his attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of having a tarnished reputation in Delhi due to his alleged involvement in the infamous cash-for-vote scam. “People know Revanth Reddy’s real face,” he remarked.
Calling on all BRS leaders in the undivided Khammam district to gear up for the upcoming Bhadrachalam by-election, KTR emphasized that the BRS remains the only party committed to standing by the poor and marginalized.
