Metpally police nabbed three cyber criminals

NEWS CHARIOT (Jatial, Nov.17) : The Metpally police officials nabbed three cyber criminals who was indulged in several cyber fraud cases and looted crores of rupees from the innocent people through fake business and investment trading apps here in Jagtial district.

The police seized 15 pass books of various banks, 10 cheque books, 20 credit and debit cards, three mobile phones, two laptops, 14 sim cards from their possession.

Disclosing the facts to the media, the superintendent of police Ashok Kumar said that the accused persons were identified as Sumesh Kapoor (36), Arjun Chouhan (36), both are native of Punjab state, Rajeev Singh (36) and Jithendar Kumar (37) both are native of Himachal Pradesh and Raj who is residing in the foreign country.

When Rajeev Singh and Jithendar Kumar went to Punjab state to work in a poultry farm company, they got introduced to Sumeh Kapoor who was working as a broker for various banks. When the three of them were searching for various methods to earn easy money, they got introduced to Arjun Chouhan working in Union Bank.

As per the directions of the Arjun, three members indulged in cyber crime and began to extort money from innocent people in the name of fake business and investment trading apps.

On receiving the complaint from the victims, the police deployed special teams under the supervision of Metpally DSP Ramulu and using advanced and modern technology traced the culprits through their bank transactions and nabbed the three persons Sumesh Kapoor, Rajeev Singh and Jithendar Kumar in Punjab state.

The police also started a manhunt to nab Arjun Chouhan who was absconding and Raj who was in the foreign country, he added.
