Mukesh Ambani Drops Out of Hurun Global Top 10 Billionaires List, Roshni Nadar Shines

NEWS CHARIOT:-Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has dropped out of the Hurun Global Top 10 Billionaires List due to a decline in his net worth. Despite being a regular in the rankings, a ₹1 lakh crore drop in wealth—driven by challenges in Reliance’s energy and retail segments—pushed him out of the elite club. Declining sales, increased debt, and underperformance in digital retail contributed to this downturn. However, Ambani remains India’s richest person with ₹8.6 lakh crore, though his fortune has fallen by 13%. He is followed by Gautam Adani & Family at ₹8.4 lakh crore, and Roshni Nadar & Family at ₹3.5 lakh crore.
Meanwhile, HCL chairperson Roshni Nadar achieved a significant milestone, ranking 5th among the world’s richest women with ₹3.5 lakh crore. Her acquisition of a 47% stake in HCL from her father, Shiv Nadar, led to a sharp rise in her wealth.
Globally, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tops the billionaire list with a staggering $420 billion net worth, marking an 82% surge. Jeff Bezos follows with $266 billion, while Mark Zuckerberg secures third place with $242 billion. Other billionaires in the top 10 include Larry Ellison, Warren Buffett, Larry Page, Bernard Arnault, Steve Ballmer, Sergey Brin, and Bill Gates.
In India, Dilip Shanghvi & Family hold ₹2.5 lakh crore, followed by Azim Premji & Family (₹2.2 lakh crore) and Kumar Mangalam Birla & Family (₹2.0 lakh crore). Mukesh Ambani’s long-term investments in telecom and retail are expected to yield returns, potentially helping him reclaim his position among the world’s wealthiest.
