People Urged to Balance Rights with Responsibilities at Workshop in Karimnagar

NEWS CHARIOT:-District Collector Pamela Satpathy emphasized the importance of balancing individual rights with civic responsibilities during a workshop on “Welfare Schemes for Holistic Development,” held on Sunday at Satavahana University. The event was part of the birth anniversary celebrations of several prominent national leaders.
In her address as the chief guest, Satpathy urged students to not only fight for their rights but also to fulfill their duties as responsible citizens. Drawing inspiration from the sacrifices of national leaders such as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Babu Jagjivan Ram, and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, she highlighted how education played a crucial role in their contributions to India’s progress and social reform. Satpathy emphasized that education should be seen as a powerful tool for societal change.
The Collector underscored the importance of utilizing government welfare schemes effectively, harnessing technology, and continuously enhancing skills to contribute meaningfully to the nation. “While everyone has fundamental rights, it is equally important to shoulder civic responsibilities,” she stated, urging the youth to embrace these values as they move forward in their lives.
Professor Umesh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Satavahana University, also spoke at the event, stressing the significance of understanding the lives and values of national leaders. He reminded students that the legacy of these leaders should serve as a guide for future generations in their pursuit of knowledge and societal progress.
The event also saw the unveiling of books related to a national-level seminar, further enriching the knowledge of students and encouraging them to delve into the lives and contributions of these great figures. The workshop and celebrations aimed to inspire students to strive for excellence in education and employment, while staying rooted in the values of duty and service to society.
