The Chilkur Balaji Temple, known as the ‘Visa Balaji Temple,’ is one of the oldest temples in Hyderabad. It is famed for granting the wishes of devotees, particularly those seeking success in securing visas or blessings for overseas travel.

During her visit, Priyanka followed the temple’s unique tradition of performing Pradakshinas. Devotees at Chilkur Balaji Temple circumambulate the sanctum sanctorum 11 times, a practice symbolizing their request to Lord Balaji. According to the temple tradition, after a wish is fulfilled, devotees are expected to return and complete 108 Pradakshinas as an expression of gratitude.

A distinctive feature of the temple is its strict no-donation policy. Devotees are encouraged to offer their prayers through the act of circumambulation, rather than making monetary offerings. This reflects the belief that Lord Balaji is pleased by the dedication and devotion shown through physical effort.
