Record 1.04 Lakh Applications for POLYCET 2024 – Entrance Exam on May 13
NEWS CHARIOT:-The Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) 2024 has received an overwhelming response from aspiring students across the state. As per official data, a record 1.04 lakh applications have been submitted for this year’s exam, marking a significant rise compared to the 94,000 applications received in 2023.
POLYCET is conducted annually for admissions into various diploma courses offered by government, aided, and private polytechnic institutions across Telangana. The surge in applications reflects a growing interest among students in skill-based technical education and career-oriented diploma programs.
The regular deadline for application submission without a late fee was April 19, while the extended deadline with a late fee ended on Monday. Education department officials have confirmed that the application window is now officially closed.
The POLYCET 2024 examination is scheduled to be held on May 13, and arrangements are underway to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the exam. Authorities have begun preparing exam centers across the state, with special emphasis on logistics, invigilation, and adherence to exam protocols.
This year’s rise in applications is being attributed to increased awareness about the employment opportunities available to diploma holders in various industries, as well as the state government’s continued efforts to improve technical education infrastructure.
Students who qualify in the exam will be eligible for admission into a wide range of diploma programs in engineering, non-engineering, and technology fields.
