Resilient Sisters Overcome Tragedy, Excel in Education with Support from Children’s Home

NEWS CHARIOT:-Despite the heartbreaking loss of their mother and abandonment by their father, five sisters from Kurnool district are determined to overcome adversity and pursue their dreams of higher education. Living in the Damodaram Sanjeevaiah Children’s Home in Pedapadu village, the sisters have excelled in their studies, proving that with determination and support, nothing is impossible.
The eldest sister, Mallika, took on the responsibility of caring for her four younger siblings – Shashirekha, Indu, Lokeshwari, and Sindhu. Indu and Lokeshwari are in the 9th and 7th grades, respectively, while Sindhu is studying in the 5th grade.
Mallika expressed her gratitude to the staff at the children’s home for their support, saying, “Our uncles have encouraged us to pursue higher education. With the help of donors and our determination, I believe we can achieve our goals. I aim to pursue a B.Sc. degree and secure a government job.”These five sisters are shining examples of resilience and hope, showing that even in the face of hardship, education can provide a pathway to a brighter future.
