Serial Offender Anil Arrested Again for Elderly Couple’s Murder in Alwal

Chintakindi Anil (37), a resident of Krishna Nagar Colony in Machha Bollaram, was arrested for killing Alli Kanakaiah (70) and Alli Rajamma (65) on the night of May 4. The couple, living in a rented house and working as watchmen, were beaten to death with a stick while they slept. Anil then looted a gold necklace, silver chains, cash, and two mobile phones before fleeing.
Anil, a repeat offender, has been involved in 29 criminal cases, including three murders, several attempted murders, thefts, and two sexual assault cases. His criminal activities began in 2003, landing him in a juvenile home at an early age. In 2013, he was imprisoned for a sexual assault and murder case. Again in 2016, he received a life sentence for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl under Bollaram police limits. However, he was released from Cherlapalli jail on April 26, 2025, following a High Court order.
Just days after his release, he committed the double murder in Suryanagar. Following the complaint filed by the victims’ family, police launched a swift investigation and arrested Anil. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and was remanded to judicial custody.
DCP Kotireddy disclosed the case details during a press conference at his Pet Basheerabad office. Additional DCP Purushottam, ACP Ramulu, CI Rahul Dev, DI Thimmappa, and other officers were present.
