One of her most notable achievements is securing Miss World 2024 for Hyderabad, a historic moment that places Telangana on the global stage. The prestigious international event, scheduled from May 4 to May 31, will see participation from 140 countries, making it one of the most significant events ever hosted by the state. This move is expected to boost tourism, increase international footfall, and enhance Telangana’s reputation as a prime travel destination.

Beyond hosting world-class events, Smita Sabharwal is also dedicated to reviving and promoting historical landmarks. Recently, she visited the Chaya Someshwara Temple in Nalgonda district, describing it as a “Hidden Gem of Telangana” in a viral social media post. She shared stunning pictures of the temple’s ancient architecture and engaged with the locals, encouraging people to explore the state’s lesser-known heritage sites. The Chaya Someshwara Temple, constructed in the 11th century by the Chola kings, is renowned for its Trikuta architecture, featuring shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and the Sun God. The temple’s intricately carved walls narrate tales from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, making it a significant spiritual and historical site. Nestled amidst lush green fields near the Udaya Samudram Reservoir, it is located just 4 km from Nalgonda and 107 km from Hyderabad, making it an accessible yet often overlooked destination.
