SRU-MUN’24 Season-2 Inaugurated at SR University

NEWS CHARIOT (Warangal, Nov.15) : The much-awaited SRU-MUN’24 Season-2, organized by SR University, Warangal, officially commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony here at the premises of the university on Friday. This three-day event will be held from November 15 to 17 during which around 650 students from various schools and colleges across the region will participate in the diplomatic discussions and address critical global and national issues.

The inauguration was attended by Dr. A.V.V. Sudhakar, Dean of Student Welfare, and Dr. K. Deepa, Associate Dean of Student Welfare, who marked the beginning of the conference with an inspiring speech. The event offers a platform for young minds to debate and deliberate on diverse issues under several key councils, including the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Health Organisation (WHO), and a special Lok Sabha session.

The event is being led by Secretary General L. Srivardhan Rao and Deputy Secretary General Md. Fozaan Ali, with a focus on fostering an environment of collaboration, diplomacy, and constructive debate. The meticulous planning and coordination have been overseen by Director General Nasheer Fatima and IP Head A. Shivani, with valuable support from faculty coordinators MD. Sallauddin, L. Gunakar Rao, N. Mahender, and D. Ramesh.

The SRU-MUN’24 Season-2 has attracted more than 650 students from prestigious institutions, including Warangal Public School, St. Peter’s CBSE School, Greenwood High School, SR DG School, Shine High School, SR Prime School and Montisery High School, with participants ranging from 7th to 9th-grade students, along with a few intermediate-level students. The diverse participation promises an enriching exchange of ideas and perspectives.
