Surprise OTT Release: Telugu Thriller ‘Chaurya Paatham’ Debuts Without Hype

However, one Telugu thriller film has surprised viewers by making an unexpected and sudden release on an OTT platform without any prior announcements or promotions.

Chaurya Paatham, a thriller revolving around a bank robbery, made its way onto Amazon Prime Video, catching many off guard. Unlike typical OTT releases that come with posters, teasers, and reviews, this film surprised audiences with its low-key approach and sudden appearance on the streaming platform.

The movie’s plot is set around a young man who aspires to be a film director. Faced with a lack of opportunities, he comes up with a daring plan to rob a bank. He enlists the help of two accomplices—Babloo and Jack Don, as well as Anjali, a bank employee. Together, they plan to tunnel into the bank from an old school building to steal the money. The film is packed with a mix of comedy, thrill, and mystery, making it an interesting watch for fans of the genre.

What truly sets Chaurya Paatham apart is its gripping screenplay. From the very beginning, the story takes unexpected twists, keeping the audience hooked till the end. Despite the film not having big-name actors, it earned average box office collections during its theatrical run, with notable performances from Indra Ram and Payal Radhakrishna in the lead roles. Mast Ali, Rajeev Kanakala, and Supriya Aysola, who plays the villain, also played key roles in the film.

Interestingly, the film’s OTT release came just 20 days after its theatrical debut. However, it is currently only available for overseas viewers, with Indian audiences still awaiting its arrival.
