Temple employees are in limbo with useless promotions

NEWS CHARIOT (Vemulawada, Dec.9) : The employees of the endowment department who were transferred to various temples recently urged the Congress government and the higher authorities of the endowment department to allot postings to them as per promotions they were given since they were losing all benefits which they would be getting according to the service rules.
In a strange development that took place in the endowment department, the employees working in various temples across the state were promoted and transferred recently. But instead of being happy they are expressing worry as they have to continue in the same old posts since the higher authorities of the department did not give any postings as per the promotions they were given.
The authorities of endowment department by forming six temples as one unit which include Vemulawada, Yadagiri Gutta, Kondagattu, Komuravelli, Bhadrachalam and Basara transferred some of the employees working in the respective temple as per the options the employees chosen along with giving promotions to some of them.
However, some of the transferred employees have been given promotions in the temple of the parent company (the temple from where they were recruited in the beginning) according to their seniority, but they have not been given postings in those positions, so they are still doing the same old jobs.
In recent transfers, the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple Assistant Executive Officer Naveen was transferred to Sri Yadagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple. But he was promoted as Deputy Executive Officer in his parent company at Vemulawada temple. But was discharging his duties as AEO at Yadadri temple.
According to the G.O number 888 if any employee got promotion when he was working at his parent company (temple), he must be allotted the same posting at the place where he was transferred and if there is no vacancy for that post at the transferred place then he must be allowed to work at the parent company in promoted posting.
The situation of the other employees was also same. Ashok who was discharging his duties as a supervisor at his parent company in Yadadri temple was transferred to Vemulawada temple and was promoted as AEO as per his seniority. But his working as a supervisor in the public relations department at Vemulawada.
Chandrasekhar and Bhupathi Reddy who worked as senior assistants at their parent company in Vemulawada temple got promotion as supervisors. They were transferred to Kondagattu where they are working as senior assistants only.
The employees alleged that what is the use of getting promotions when the postings were not given to them. Apart from that all the benefits which they should get as per service rule also they are missing without allotment of postings to them. On several occasions, the issue was taken to the notice of the higher authorities of the endowment department, but in vain, they added.
They decided to take the issue to the notice of the state government under the Major Temple JAC and even urged the state leaders of the TNGOs to extend their support to them in resolving their issue.
