Unique Event: Woman in Andhra Hosts Her Own Funeral Feast

NEWS CHARIOT :-In a world where relationships are often tested by material desires, an elderly woman from Andhra Pradesh has done something unheard of. Instead of wondering whether her children would honor her last rites, she decided to witness them herself—by organizing her own funeral feast while still alive. This bizarre yet thought-provoking incident has now become the talk of the town.

The woman at the center of this event is 80-year-old Rangamma, a resident of Muchharla village in Pedana Mandal, Krishna District. Rangamma had already distributed her property among her sons and was left with nothing in her name. This made her question:

  • Would my children perform my last rites properly?
  • Would they follow traditions and organize a funeral feast for me?
  • Or would they simply ignore it and move on?

A Decision That Shocked the Family

After witnessing how families fight over inheritance and sometimes even neglect their deceased parents’ last rites, Rangamma came up with an unusual idea. She called her sons and relatives and expressed her desire to host her own funeral feast before her death.

Initially, her children and the villagers were shocked and confused. Why would someone want to celebrate their own passing while still alive? But Rangamma insisted on her wish, and eventually, her family agreed to fulfill it.

The Grand Funeral Feast

Once her decision was final, her sons made arrangements, just like they would for an actual funeral:

  • Invitations were sent to the entire village.
  • Traditional funeral dishes were prepared.
  • Guests gathered, just as they would for a post-funeral meal.

Rangamma sat among them, watching everyone eat, feeling peaceful and content.

While some appreciated her bold decision, others found it strange and unsettling. The incident sparked mixed reactions in the village:

  • “This is a new level of thinking! At least she knows her children respect her wishes.”
  • “Why not let things happen naturally? This feels forced.”
  • “Will her children honor her the same way after she actually passes away?”

A Thought-Provoking Message

In today’s world, where parents’ deaths often lead to inheritance disputes, Rangamma’s act raises important questions about human relationships. Whether bold or bizarre, her wish was fulfilled, and she left behind a story that people will remember for years.
