Urban Forest Park to be Established in Jagtial with Rs. 2 Crore Investment

NEWS CHARIOT (JAGTYALA.JAN.3) : In an effort to provide residents of Jagtial town with a much-needed green space, the development of an Urban Forest Park under the Nagar Van Yojana (NVY) was announced by MLA Dr. S. Sanjay Kumar. The park, located in Ambaripet village, Jagtial district, will be built with an investment of Rs. 2 crore.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar emphasized the importance of providing a recreational space where people can escape the stresses of urban living and connect with nature. The park, which is being developed on a sprawling 400-acre site, is situated just 2 kilometers away from the town center, making it easily accessible to the local population.

The Urban Forest Park include a watchtower that will provide visitors with a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, solar-powered water pumps, and sculptures of different animal.

A significant aspect of the park’s design is its focus on educating children and the younger generation about the importance of forests and environmental sustainability. Through hands-on learning and interactive displays, the park aims to instill a sense of responsibility towards nature and encourage eco-friendly practices among future generations.

The development of the Urban Forest Park is being funded through a combination of resources, including contributions from the Municipality, the City Development Plan (CDP), and special funds allocated by the district administration. The project is expected to provide residents with a beautiful natural escape, offering fresh air and a peaceful environment, away from the concrete jungle of urban areas.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar assured that he would continue to oversee the progress of the park’s construction to ensure its timely completion. He emphasized the importance of meeting the growing needs of the community and said the park would serve as a long-term resource for both recreation and environmental education.

The park is expected to be completed soon, with plans to inaugurate it by January 20, 2025. Once open, it will become a valuable asset for the people of Jagtial, benefiting both the town’s residents and those from surrounding areas.
