Woman killed by her husband & in-laws in Mahabubabad
NEWS CHARIOT : In a shocking incident, a woman has been murdered by her husband along with his family members and then buried her dead body in a pit at the premises of their house. Apart from that, the accused family members continued their daily activities, even cooking meals on the site. The incident took place here in Signal Colony of Mahabubabad town of the district.
According to the police, one Kati Gopi along with his wife (victim) Nagamani (35) and two children, his parents Lakshmi and Ramulu, his sister Durga and brother-in-law Mahendar were living in the colony for the past several months in a rented house.
Gopi and Nagamani along with other family members were working as daily labourers and as beggars. Nagamani was facing harassment from her husband and other family members for the past few months. On January 13th, it is believed that Gopi along with his parents, sister and brother-in-law brutally murdered Nagamani. After the crime, they buried the body by digging a pit in the house’s yard and after spending that night in the house cooking meals, they locked the house and fled the scene.
The house owner Anjaiah who visited the house on Thursday to collect the rent saw the house was locked and after noticing signs of disturbance and place where a pit was dug-up, with the help of locals when excavated discovered the crime and lodged the complaint with the police.
The officials reaching the spot with a dog squad shifted the dead body to the hospital and after registering the case started an investigation.
