Young Woman Deceived and Robbed in Vijayawada by a Conman

NEWS CHARIOT:-In a shocking incident that highlights the growing concerns over online scams, a young woman was allegedly deceived and robbed by a man she met on Instagram. The man lured her into a hotel room under the pretense of spending private time together, only to steal her jewelry after trapping her inside the room.
The incident took place in Machavaram, Vijayawada, where the victim, a woman from the city, had connected with the accused on Instagram about a month ago. Over the course of their online interactions, the man gained her trust by using sweet words and promises. He then convinced her to meet him in person, claiming he had a special plan to show her some gold.
On Tuesday evening, he invited her to a hotel in Machavaram, where he asked her to accompany him to a room. Once inside, the man acted as if he was engaging in romantic activities with her. In a shocking turn of events, he quickly removed her clothes, tied her hands and legs using her own clothes, and stole about 20 grams of gold jewelry she was wearing. After the theft, the accused fled the scene.
The victim managed to free herself and, with the help of hotel staff, reported the incident to the Machavaram police. The police immediately launched an investigation into the case. They are now working to track down the suspect by using various clues, including the Instagram ID, mobile phone location, and CCTV footage from the hotel.
Authorities revealed that the conman had been careful to hide his identity, never sharing personal details like his phone number, and exclusively used Instagram to communicate with the victim. The police are confident that they will soon capture the suspect based on the ongoing investigation.This incident serves as a stark reminder for individuals, particularly women, to exercise caution while interacting with strangers online.
